Variable
area flowmeters are available for the volumetric
flow measurement of clean liquids and gases. These units are readily
available with limit switches, analog output signals, specific metallurgy
for wetted parts and special end connections.
Electromagnetic flowmeters are
available for the measurement of volumetric flowrates of liquids,
pulps, pastes and slurries provided that meet a minimum electrical
conductivity. Meters range in size from 1/10” to 120” (2.5mm
to 3000mm) and can have an accuracy of less than 0.2% of the
measured value.
Ultrasonic
flowmeters can
be used for the measurement of most liquids and gases, provided
that the flow is free of any particulate and vapour. Meter
sizes range from _” to 200” (13mm to 5000mm).
The accuracy can be less than 0.15% of the measured value.
A full range of coriolis meters are
available for mass flow measurement of any liquid or gas flow
application. Both bent tube and straight
tube meters are available and flow rates as low as 0.013 lb/min
(0.006 kg/min) can be achieved. Measurement accuracy is 0.15%.
Radar technology for
level measurement of liquids and solids in storage vessels
up to 147 ft. (45m) is available. Reliable operation is achieved
in difficult solids applications with high temperature or extreme
levels of dust. Accuracy of less than 0.2% of the measured
level.
