A new Field Wiring Architecture is available from StoneL. The FieldLink family supports most field based protocols with a full array of products designed to make an entire network operate reliably in rigorous process environments. The various products include a current limited Class 2 and Class I & II, Division 2 approved power supplies and housings for explosion proof, non-incendive and general purpose applications.

Single loop and multiple loop controllers are available for indication, control, logic and sequencing activities within process control applications. All controllers have networking and configuration capabilities.

Loop optimization software is available to eliminate the trial and error methodology frequently encountered in loop tuning activities. This is a user-friendly software package that identifies final element problems such as hysterisis and stiction in addition to predicting a more robust set of tuning constants.

Heat tracing cable and associated components are available for freeze protection and temperature maintenance requirements. Self-regulating heater cable adjusts the temperature output in response to pipe temperature. Mineral cable for high temperature applications is also available.

Instrumentation fittings are available for sale and to support our valve automation activities. The standard fittings are 316 stainless steel.

Pressure gauges can be supplied from our stock. Both process and instrumentation gauges are available in a wide range of pressure spans.

Services

On-site loop optimization services can be provided. Engineering services are available to assist customers with the reduction of process variability within their critical control loops.

Process control training can be provided. This training provides the fundamental concepts of loop optimization and utilizes ‘real world’ situations, in a laboratory environment, to enhance the students’ confidence in applying these concepts.

Valve automation services are provided from our facility in Sarnia, Ontario. We have the capability to automate virtually any type of valve and can install a variety of accessories, such as positioners, limit switches, solenoid valves, filter regulators and speed control components. We also calibrate the various accessories, as appropriate, and test functional performance before shipping of the valve assemblies.

Valve repair is also available through our Sarnia facility.
